Obviously this isn't the greatest shot but I thought it was cool that the two birds were flying closely. Anyway, I did have concerns about the fact that even though I had my EC up they looked like I had underexposed them when really I didn't.
Nice! I did underexpose yesterday. And my ISO was fairly high, not catastrophic, but I would go back to the same place, except that I Have to wait here for the cable guy. Aren't you glad to know all that.
I wonder how one would do the post not to get noise.
Oh, and yeah, on those birds with wings up, they seem to show noise to me quite often. If I am aware that it is happening, I use the de-noise slider on RAW.

Same here --- looks pretty much as I would expect for the type of shooting conditions.
Any PP tricks would have to be carefully done as to not enhance noise.
super shot! i'd be happy to capture any rendition of this scene and to me, the exposure is as good as could be expected with a black bird and a white wing. if there is enough detail available, perhaps a closer crop? -- only from a 'more screen-filling' point of view....
Well you didn't have sun:-) You are at ISO 650 which is fine, no sun but gloom and all that makes for a shot that will have a bit of noise and can look under exposed..You get what you get sometimes. I really wouldn't worry over much on this one at all.
