Green Heron
I was trying to get some pictures of another bird when this guy flew out of the tall cattails and up in a tree. The feathers on him are incredible colors.

on April 29, 2008Thanks everyone. Rick, yes it is nice when they pose. Usually the in so much clutter from the trees and branches you can't even tell they are there. I got a shot of his head dress to but not the whole body so I opted for this one.
